Creating supportive & transformative learning experiences
At Allegra School, located in the heart of Coffs Harbour, we understand that a little extra support, flexible learning opportunities, and small class sizes can make a significant impact on a student’s confidence, wellbeing, and overall school experience.
Allegra is a safe learning space for students who find learning and socialising in mainstream schools challenging. We welcome young people who are neurodiverse, have learning difficulties, who are living with trauma or experiencing mental health difficulties. Our goal is to provide all young people with the opportunity to realise their potential and thrive in an environment that respects their individuality, nurtures their strengths, and supports their personal and academic growth.
School Life
Allegra is a purposely small co-educational Special Assistance high school for Stage 5 (Years 9 and 10). We provide transformative educational opportunities by blending academic rigor with emotional growth in a safe and supportive environment. Our class sizes, personalised support, and strong learning partnerships empower students to take ownership of their education and achieve their full potential.
We foster creativity, critical thinking, and self-confidence by combining innovative teaching practices with the latest tools and technologies, expanding learning beyond the classroom. At Allegra, every student is supported to thrive, grow, and embrace a future filled with possibility.
News & Updates
Allegra School acknowledges the Gumbaynggirr people as the Traditional Owners of the land where we meet to learn. We pay our respects to their Ancestors, the land’s first teachers, and to their descendants who continue cultural and spiritual connections to land, sea and community. We recognise their valuable contributions to Australian and global society and value their knowledge systems, stories, and traditions as essential elements of a shared journey toward understanding, acceptance, and collaboration.
