Graduation at Allegra School is always a deeply meaningful occasion. It is a time to pause, reflect, and celebrate the young people who have grown, persevered, and shaped our community in powerful ways. Among the many moments of pride during our graduation ceremony, the presentation of our major awards stands out as a celebration of character, commitment, leadership, and wellbeing.
Below, we proudly honour the recipients of our 2025 major graduation awards. Each award reflects the values that define Allegra School: acceptance, connection, collaboration, and a commitment to becoming the best version of yourself.
Wellbeing Award
This award is one that holds a special place in our school community. The Wellbeing Award, presented for Finding the Motivation and Courage to Allow Personal Growth, recognises a young person who has shown resilience, humility, and an unwavering commitment to becoming the best version of themselves.
The recipient of this award has faced some significant challenges throughout the year, challenges that could have easily led them to step back or give up. But instead, this young person chose to lean in. They sought help when they needed it, they asked questions, they reflected, and they worked hard to move forward with purpose.
What stands out most is the way they approach support. Whenever guidance is offered, they listen with genuine respect. They take on board what is said, and they express gratitude. This has been evident not only in the classroom, but also in every wellbeing conversation and moment of connection.
As their time with us unfolded, it became clear that this student is motivated, caring, and committed to maintaining a positive outlook, even when things feel heavy. Positivity is not about pretending everything is perfect, but about choosing hope, choosing effort, and choosing growth. She does this every single day.
And when she walks into a room, she brings with her a warmth and a beautiful energy that lifts those around her. She inspires others simply by being who she is.
2025 Wellbeing Award Recipient: Dakodah Deregt

Principal’s Award
One of the most meaningful moments in our annual celebration is the presentation of the Principal’s Award. This accolade recognises not only excellence, but an extraordinary commitment to the values that define Allegra School: acceptance, connection, and collaboration.
This award goes far beyond academic achievement. It honours a young person who consistently contributes to the wellbeing and culture of our school, someone who builds community, strengthens relationships, and creates an environment where everyone feels safe to be themselves.
This year’s recipient has been a shining light within our Allegra community. From the very first day, this young person embraced our school with openness, warmth, and an unwavering belief in the power of belonging. They have made it their mission to ensure that every student feels welcomed and accepted, regardless of their journey, strengths, or challenges.
Their impact has been far reaching. As a dedicated member of the Action Ambassadors, they have used their voice to advocate for students, champion inclusivity, and model respectful leadership. They have worked collaboratively with both staff and peers, bringing a sense of humour, humility, honesty, song and dance to every interaction. Their presence has strengthened our community, and their ability to make others feel seen and valued is truly remarkable.
This young person embodies everything we hope to recognise and celebrate at Allegra School. They are thoughtful, reflective, compassionate, and full of a steady brilliance that lifts others up.

Future Leader Award
The Future Leaders Award recognises a young person who embodies the qualities, character, and capabilities that define strong, compassionate, and influential leadership.
Throughout their time at Allegra School, this young person has been a genuine pleasure to collaborate with. They have stepped up time and again during whole school events, bringing organisation, confidence, and an impressive ability to communicate with impact. Their leadership has shaped some of our most important moments this year.
They delivered the Allegra Dynamic Welcome Launch with poise, depth, and professionalism. They led the Harmony Day questioning assembly with insight and thoughtful consideration, creating a space where every voice was valued. Their approach to the Illuminate Challenge showed balanced diplomacy, emotional maturity, and a capacity to bring people together. During Work Experience Week, they embraced the opportunity to complete a barista course wholeheartedly, demonstrating initiative and a desire to grow.
Across every experience, this young person has shown that leadership is not about authority, but about influence, empathy, and presence. They model the behaviours that strengthen communities and inspire others. They are, in every sense, a natural leader.
2025 Future Leaders Award Recipient: Tyla Long

Allegra Award
Demonstarting a commitment to creating a positive learning environment, the Allegra Award recognises a student who consistently brings optimism, kindness, and the very best of Allegra’s values into every classroom. This student lifts others, shows genuine care for their peers, and creates a space where learning feels safe, joyful, and collaborative.
This year, that student is Eden Wolhuter.
To capture what makes Eden so extraordinary, teachers and support staff shared reflections that painted a powerful picture of a young person whose presence genuinely transforms the atmosphere around her.
Eden shows a deep commitment to people and the planet, making ethical and environmentally responsible choices a central focus of her learning. She brings sparkle and joy to every lesson, carrying creativity, kindness, and compassion through every challenge. She is an influential and respected role model, consistently kind, caring, and supportive of those around her.
Eden naturally makes every person in the room feel heard and valued, a simple but powerful gift that strengthens the fabric of every class she is part of. Her kindness, determination, and positivity are not just felt, they are lived through action.

Caceda Award
The Caceda Award is presented to a student who has shown outstanding diligence and dedication across their academic pursuits.
This year’s recipient is a studious and conscientious student who has worked incredibly hard to be successful in the classroom and has extended themselves across all subject areas.
They came into Allegra School as a quiet and reserved young person, and it has been a privilege to observe their growth. Their tenacity, outstanding attendance, and consistent diligence across all academic pursuits reflect a deep commitment to learning and personal excellence.
