At Allegra, strong governance matters. It ensures that everything we do remains aligned to our purpose, our values, and the needs of the young people and families we serve.
What is a school board?
Allegra School is governed by a voluntary Board of Governance under our incorporated association, Coffs Coast Education and Training Organisation Inc.
The Board is made up of individuals who bring a range of skills and perspectives, all working together to support the long term direction of the school. They are not involved in the day to day running of the school, instead they provide oversight, accountability, and strategic guidance.
What does the Board do?
The role of the Board is to ensure the school is operating responsibly, sustainably, and in line with its mission.
This includes:
- Setting the strategic direction of the school
- Ensuring financial oversight and sustainability
- Supporting strong governance and compliance
- Monitoring performance and impact
- Acting in the best interests of the school community
At its core, the Board exists to make sure Allegra continues to provide safe, inclusive, and transformative learning experiences for young people.
