Congratulations are in order for our dedicated students and exceptional Student Support Officer, Danielle, for their outstanding efforts in promoting Allegra at the Coffs Harbour City Square markets. Their enthusiasm and commitment shone brightly as they engaged with the local community, articulating the numerous benefits of attending Allegra and emphasising the school's inclusive ethos. A special acknowledgment goes to Ariana, whose eloquence and poise during an interview for a community organisations showcase video truly highlighted her as a valuable member of our school. Special thanks are also extended to Seb, Lily, and Viridian for their invaluable contributions, actively participating in conversations with the public.
In continuation of our community involvement, the Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) Healthy Communities Grant supported the mental health and well-being of local youth by supporting this project. Our students, committed to raising awareness, distributed stickers with a design created by an Allegra student, symbolising two hands making peace. The figure 8 represents neurodiversity as a valuable and essential part of the human experience. This initiative underscores our commitment to making the community safer for neurodivergent LGBTQIA+ and multicultural youth, ensuring every young person feels safe and included. Together, they exemplify the spirit of Allegra and its inclusive and positive impact on the Coffs Coast community. Well done, team!
